Odor Eliminators

35 Tips for a quick sale #31

If you know you’re having an open house or that you house is being shown, open the windows to air out the home. Other great ideas are to bake cookies, boil cinnamon, or light a freshly scented candle. Also intriguing are scent packets that you can buy at the paint store. Simply add them to a can of paint, mix well, and apply to the walls. The scent is released over time. Why not try this if you’re going to paint the walls?!?!

Interior Color Pallet

35 Tips for a quick sale #32

Often referred to as “money in a can,” paint is the simplest way to add value and improve your chances of a quick sale. Repaint your bolder paint choices with colors in the tan, white, and gray families. Tan or wheat colors are my personal favorite!

Home Repairs Handyman

35 Tips for a quick sale #33

Don’t leave repairs for the buyer to discover upon the inspection. If you know there are repairs that need to be done, take matters into your own hands and fix them prior to putting your house on the market. If a buyer discovers even the smallest of necessary repairs during they’re first viewing of your home they may get the impression that you’ve neglected the home, leading them to wonder what else could be wrong. Replace the broken mirror in your bathroom, replace the rotten hardwood plank in the dining room floor, replace the broken hinge on the kitchen cabinet. Odds are you’ve overlooked these repairs for years and may have forgotten they exist. Ask a close friend to walk through your home and make a list of any possible repairs they would want fixed if they were the home buyer.
