Water Restrictions Lifted in Cary

With much thanks to the recent rains, Jordan Lake has surpassed its normal levels and Town of Cary officials have decided to revert back to regular year-round water restrictions.

Residents are now able to water three days a week with sprinklers and can hand water every day. Outdoor washing will be allowed without restrictions as well. Yeah for clean cars!!

This is great news to Cary residents, but town officials are asking not to go overboard. The drought may well return to the area and if the levels of Jordan Lake begin to fall again you can expect to see the severe restrictions back in place.

These restrictions are lifted as of Tuesday April 1, 2008. (Not an April Fool’s joke!)
