Current Water Restrictions in Raleigh, NC
Even after the severe thunderstorms of last night, all folks who use Raleigh public water are under Stage 2 Water Conservation restrictions. This includes everyone in Raleigh, Garner, Knightdale, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, and Zebulon. Stage 2 restrictions consist of the following:
`No public water use for irrigation.
`No filling new swimming pools, however to maintain sanitary conditions, water may be added to existing pools.
`No vehicle washing at home or at any unapproved car wash establishments. Check www.raleighnc.gov for a list of those businesses.
`No washing driveways, sidewalks, decks, patios, etc.
`Leaking pipes will warrant an immediate interruption of water service.
`Drinking water is only served upon request in all restaurants.
`No non-essential water use for commercial or public use.
`Any heating or cooling equipment operated via water that isn’t recycled must be set to the highest and lowest settings.
`Hotels must ask guests to reuse towels and bedding when staying longer than one night.
WARNING!!! Fines of $1,000 will be delivered to first time violators and any other violations will result in water service interruption.
