As of Thursday, May 29th the North Wake Landfill was closed for good. The area will be transformed into a community recreation area with sports fields, hiking trails, and more. It is unsure as to when the area will be open for these activities.

Now, Wake County residents will need to use the South Wake Landfill in Holly Springs. More to come on the progress of the landfill transformation!
